Anyone here read Gaiman/Pratchett's "Good Omens?"

I just ordered a used copy from Amazon.com after reading many glowing reviews. I'm not normally into SciFi/Steam Punk/etc., but this seemed interesting. (I tend towards historical fiction, such as Matthew Kneale's brilliant 'English Passengers' or Jonathan Coe's 'The Rotters' Club.'

One interesting side-note, especially for a book about the Antichrist: With shipping, the book cost.... $6.66. No kidding. :scared:

1. Wonderful book. Hilarious. I loved it.

My born-again wife found it and threw it out. :(

My favorite line: "They had been lurking for most of the night, but had been pacing themselves, and felt ready to put in a good burst of lurking just before dawn." - From memory. It may not be word-for-word.

2. Yes, it was very entertaining...

I did enjoy the historical religion aspect of it, and the charaacters are cute. There are parts that made me laugh until tears ran down my face. All in all, light and fluffy. Won't change the world, but does make an interesting case for nature vs nurture. :)

I'm looking forward to it. I wonder how the film will turn out--Terry Gilliam is currently attached to the project as its director.
