3. No Edie albums since they got married
Should we call this the Bobby Brown syndrome? The Gavin Rossdale syndrome?

5. Don't they have children together
Maybe she is just taking the time off and enjoying being a mom. If I had millions in the bank I would be tempted to do the same.

6. Happy Birthday Edie
A couple of acquaitances of mine, friends of my ex's, have the honor of collaborating with her. It was fun seeing my daughter watch Edie on Letterman and go, "hey, that's Carter and Dave!".

ps. "Dave" is pseudonym, cuz I can't remember the guys name. "Carter" is Carter Albrecht, whom you may or may not hear more about, depending on the vagaries of the music industry; but you should.

7. It was an exciting time, late 80's, when the New Bohemians were upcoming
Edie was a brilliantly creative, unpretentious writer and performer and those of us in Texas knew we were seeing the beginning of a great star. The New Boh's had a cult following of post modern hippies and each show was a happy party.

Of course, the record company destroyed the chemistry of the band and only one semi good album came out.

But those were thrilling days in a lousy decade.
