2. BRING THE YOUNG'NS IN!!
True remark overheard at the Outdoor World in Arundle Mills mall:

Mother to her 9-year-old: "Grab the bullets, son!"

I couldn't make this up if I tried.

3. Yeegads, that's right there on busy as hell Scottsdale Road,
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 08:14 AM by blondeatlast
right in the tourist heart of Scottsdale, AZ.

My mom lives in Scottsdale and she just beams with pride when she sees it (note deep sarcasm, my feisty 81 year old mom HATES guns).

I've seen that damn sign for nearly 25 years, sometimes daily, and I still wince every time. :scared: (as in creepy)

Edit: note that nearly a million cars A DAY pass that sign. Eeeeeeuuuuww.

now i remember where I saw it ... on our way to/from the Soda Pop Shop with my wife and father-in-law. We were all a little freaked out by the sign.

29. TWENTY YEARS or more it's been there.
They used to be just off of Scottsdale Rd. and the sign wasn't revolting, very simple.

It was shortly after they moved onto Scottsdale Rd. that they put it up.

I console myself thinking it keeps Scottsdale Rd. values low enough independent businesses still reign.

10. Oh, I wish I had said that! There is nothing the repukes won't do
to make sure that every American is armed 24/7 (well, only repukes - it will be open season on the rest of us "un-Americans." Actually read somewhere last week there was real discussion going on about allowing teenagers to carry guns to school so they could protect themselves from "wacky" kids who want to shoot up a school. Just what this nation needs - a bunch of hormonal teenagers all packing heat and pissed off because Suzy or Billy smiled at somebody or a teacher decided to not to give the desired grade.

Are we quickly approaching the point of no return for this nation? Just when you think things can get no worse, we have hit bottom and will start rebounding with common sense and sanity another repug gets near a microphone and throws a new scare into the sheeple. I'm betting there are people who think it would be a good idea to let the kiddies carry a handgun in their back pack - right next to their sack lunch and book report.

11. I see that sign almost every day!
I live right in the neighborhood.

Yep, we love our guns here in the wild west.

Right now there's a bill going through our state house that would allow guns in bars and schools!!!

So have pity on me!

I know I did once, recently; trying hard to remember...

Oh yeah, when Rep. Grijalva took on Wal-Mart.

Alas, I'll wait another year or so. At least I know I don't suffer alone.. (sigh)

that proudly and largely advertises that they're "open 'til 3:00 a.m."

To this day I wonder why anyone would just have to buy a gun at 3 o'clock in the morning.

Okay, that was a sick thought, I grant you.

But I live in Arizona, which tried to pass legislation allowing concealed weapons in bars.

Nothing is beyond the Arizona state legislature.
