I saw a book at Borders the other day called "The Anatomy of Fascism" and it peaked my interest, so I decided to look at the reviews at Amazon. As usual if you have anything good Right Wing Retards can fuck it up.

One idiot rants on and on about how the Nazis were not fascists, and another dumbass rants about how the Nazis were only looking to protect themselves from the Communists. And you can guess who they blame for all this "misinformation": liberals.

The entire book, and Professor Paxton's credibility as a scholar, are completely undermined by two things: he glossed over the fact that the soviet communists were a deadly threat completely dedicated to the destruction of democracy in Germany and Italy; and he insinuated VERY strongly that the US seems never out of danger of becoming a failed democracy and fascist state.

One key aspect of Marxism is that there are certain things believed historically inevitable. From at least as far back as the 1930s, soviet and American communists, and their later successors in the New Left, all claimed that it was completely inevitable that the US would sink into fascism.

Why did Italy and Germany fight for fascism during the Spanish Civil War? Because Spain was the place the USSR focused on after communism was thwarted by fascism in both Italy and Germany. Ron Radosh recently wrote a book revealing the extent of the USSR's infiltration and takeover of the Spanish Republican (i.e., communist) cause. It turns out that thousands of military officers and operatives from the USSR had completely commandeered the Spanish cause, and that they had even purged and killed Spanish allies and military comrades who objected to, or attempted to stop, the soviet takeover.

Wrong, wrong, REALLY wrong. Ron Radosh is a neoconservative contributor to Frontpage. This is the first time I've heard any of the crap this guy is spewing.

4. It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant these people are

The fool actually states that the operative word in "National Socialist" is "socialist" which is completely false, as the fascistic Nazi regime had little to nothing in common with any socialist philosophy.

In fact, Hitler and his ilk spent as much time gnashing their teeth and railing against all things left and all thinks socialist, Marxist or communist in nature. He considered them all to be creations of Jews who he perceived to be bent on taking over the world.

7. Labels mean everything to these people.

"National Socialist" = socialist, even though the facts don't support it. Just like *'s "Clean Air Act" = clean air, even though the facts don't support it.

Labels make it easy for them. It also makes it easy to deceive them.

6. Steven Tooley - what a maroon!

Anybody with more than six brain cells knows that the Nazis were socialist in name only; they weren't any more socialist than Reagan. The review is kind of funny to read, knowing it's based completely on his ignorant misconception. Especially entertaining is his story of the origin of the term "Nazi" itself.
