is this a girl thing ?
if i am way off on this please flame me.
Guys if they have the premium channels on sat or cable
will consistantly channel surf those channels, women channel surf everything.
My daughters and wife seem to only watch channels that are free when we pay for H.B.O. and Starz.

3. I've also quit watching TV
I don't even have cable. But back when I lived with my GF, Lifetime was always on.

4. Hey, I'm a girl and I hate Lifetime.
I'd much rather watch Discovery or ESPN.

5. I don't channel surf
I know what programs I want to watch and I watch them. My husband will look at what's on elsewhere more than I do, but only during commercials. We had some premium channel on over the weekend, and only watched "Seven Years in Tibet" and that al Jazeerah program someone here alerted us to. We don't get premium channels as a rule-this was a free promotion of some kind.

6.  we had free show time this weekend.
Channel surfing is like looking for something that isn't there till you remember that even with 9 zillion stations t.v. is still t.v. .

7. I'm a girl and I'm a news-junkie.
I do surf the news channels or I watch the Discovery channel. We rarely miss Law & Order, C S I or Crossing Jordan. what could possibly keep me interested on the Lifetime channel, I know it's out-there somewhere, but there's nothing on Lifetime for me.

8. You just explained something to me!! My husband NEVER
surfs through ABC, NBC, or CBS, although he will hit the cable versions. I just asked him why he did that last night! Now I know...it's the money!!!
Ha ha too funny.
I rarely 'surf'...I hit CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Travel Channel, History Channel, PBS, ABC, CBS, NBC, and forget the rest.
