I'm sorry... but 'damn, girl' just cracks me up. To be honest, I'd take it all as complimentary, but as for whether or not it would lead anywhere, that doesn't matter at all... it's more about what's said after that (i.e. how he reacts to my laughter, what the chemistry between us is like, how intelligent / compassionate / honest he is, etc. -- more meaningful things than first words, so to speak... :)

I don't like leaving the house and feeling like I'm on display for any man who wants to comment on how I look. Like I'm an object--he likee. Grunt. And I'm sure they're not thinking "wow I'd like to have a nice conversation with her". Yuck.

I certainly don't do that to attractive men.

I've tried to think that it's my own hang up, and that they are trying to be nice, but it still makes me uncomfortable.
