2. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange a walk-on part in a war for a lead role in a cage?

3. I always thought it was...
"a walk-on part in the world, for a lead role in a cage"... suggesting that "you" prefer to be a big fish in a small pond, then participate in a larger society. Now I need to know what "a walk-on part in a war" means. Damn.

4. I'd rather have a small role in a bitter, hellish, dangerous fight...
...than be the starring actor locked in a cage. That's how I've always interpreted it

14. The soundtrack has two seldom-heard tracks that I love
The full version of "What Shall We Do Now?" with the missing lyrics from the album sleeve, and "When the Tigers Broke Free." "...And that's how the High Command took my daddy from me!"

I love the rest of What Shall We Do Now. I also like the film version of In The Flesh. It really rocks, for a NAZI song, that is. david
