Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Now: a Porn Star
Tue Mar 1, 2005 10:03 AM ET

LONDON (Reuters) - In its 183-year history, the August Oxford Union debating society has heard the wisdom of Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan and Mother Teresa.

Now its members are to hear from Ron Jeremy, star of 1,700 adult films, including "Bang Along With Ron."

"Ron is the biggest and apparently the best in the business, so I'm sure he'll have some fascinating stories to tell," said Oxford Union librarian Vladimir Bermant, who organized the event.

Jeremy, who claims to have slept with more than 4,000 women, will address the union on Wednesday, joining many British prime ministers, three U.S. presidents and prominent figures from the Dalai Lama to Malcolm X in its archival guest list.

Peter Cardwell, spokesman for one of the English-speaking world's most respected debating societies, said U.S. porn star Jenna Jameson also addressed the union a few years ago.

at least his numbers are more plausible than some braggarts'
i remember wilt chamberlain's 10,000 claim being so bogus that snl actually lampooned it.

ron jeremy is not only a porn star (over 1,000 pornos) but also known to party and seek sex wherever he goes. and he's been at it for years.

1,000 pornos and he's claiming 4,000 partners. that's not unreasonable. socially demented perhaps, but the math isn't unfathomable.

one new partner a day for 10 years. he's been at it longer than that, and had his share of multiple partner days, so i'll believe it.

3. What, have you never seen one of his films? In those films...
...they sometime had 3 or 4 women per scene, and I think it only takes about 3 or 4 days to shoot an entire porno video. 4000 sounds a bit low, if you're talking about Ron.

5. I can't argue with that
What cracks me up is this quote, "Ron is the biggest and apparently the best in the business, so I'm sure he'll have some fascinating stories to tell," said Oxford Union librarian Vladimir Bermant, who organized the event.

"The Best?" Vladimir has obviously never seen one of his videos. I'd say he was the most "available" or the most "willing," not the best.:silly:

6. well in technical terms, he supposedly is the best
male porn stars' principal talent is being able to perform on cue, without fail. and he's apparently got the reputation for that.

7. I heard an interview with him a few years ago...
(I think it was on NPR's All Things Considered) and he said that this was no longer the case, because of Viagra.

He didn't say it this way, but I can almost hear him saying it, "In MY day, we didn't have Viagra, these kids today...":silly:
