I can't listen to any of these tracks because I'm at "work" and have no speakers (or sound card) on my computer. So I can only envy those of you at leisure to listen to excerpts from such treasures as Mrs. Miller's The Girl from Ipanema or Mary Schneider's Yodelling Mozart. You can also hear The Shaggs' Things I Wonder or the bitter ravings of Judy Garland. You can even hear the musical fruits of Mr.Methane.com. You lucky ducks!

6. Listen to The Shaggs and Florence Foster Jenkins..

I've got an entire show dedicated to The Shaggs; they are truly amazing. I'm going to start podcasting my Insane Music Programs as well as still playing them on my internet station; I've got about 45 or so shows in the archive..

I was looking for a band from Manchester--New Hampshire. Of course, they're not from Manchester, NH. I first read about them in the New Yorker in a piece by Susan Orleans which is now required reading in Shagg-world, apparently. I've never heard them. I'm dying to go home now so I can hear them.
