This is a new low in phishing

screen the Washington Mutual system for unusual activity

In accordance with Wamu User Agreement and to ensure that your account has not been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your account access will remain limited until this issue has been resolved. In order to secure your account and quickly restore full access, we require some additional information from you.

1. Got Something Similar
From World Savings, I believe.

In case anybody needs reminding, your bank would never call or send an e-mail asking for identification, account #s, PINS, etc. It's easy enough to copy official looking logos, etc. None of this means it's really from your bank.

If you think something is up w/your account, call the # on your statement yourself.

2. I've gotten two of those.
From the real WAMU web site:

Report an online scam
If you receive suspicious e-mail that appears to come from Washington Mutual, please notify us immediately by forwarding the e-mail to [email protected] (do not open any attachments or click any links found in the suspicious e-mail).

You may also want to forward it to the Federal Trade Commission at [email protected], or contact them at www.consumer.gov/idtheft* or 877.IDTHEFT (877.438.4338).
