Peete, 40, was in attendance at the Oscar party for Ebony Magazine celebrating the publication's 60th anniversary Thursday night in Beverly Hills when she went into labor. The Beverly Hills Fire Department then rushed the actress to the hospital.

The bundle of joy was born at 6:18 a.m. Friday, weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce. This is the fourth child for Peete and her husband, NFL player Rodney Peete.
