I believe in God, Karma, Etc.
The week before Don_G bought me a computer I bought a fellow student a pair of shoes, groceries ($38.00), bra, socks and underware and some paper for school.

The next week Don_G shows up at my door and buys me a computer.

I didn't buy my fellow student what she needed because I felt that someone would help me I bought her some stuff because she was wearing rags to School and she doesn't have any family in the States.

Whether it's Karma or God we all need to help from our heart and like my mom said you reap what you sew(?).

2. Not to take the mystery off it but
the explanation is in the nature of society. Society becomes what we teach it to be. That is what we do becomes part of the society. People learn from each other. If we teach them hostility and greed then society becomes hostile and greedy. If we demonstrate generousity and compassion then society becomes generous and compassionate.

Thus you find in most effective religion/philosophies the notion of do unto others as they would do unto you. Wiccans and Pagans teach us that what you do comes back threefold. The bible teaches the golden rule. Any functional system is going to adopt this particular societal structure or the society will not be viable to spread its influence.
