Okay First weird hormonal smell aversion of my wife's pregnancy
Last night after finishing eating dinner (Lo Mein where have you been all my life?) I had some chocolates and then something to top it off.

My wife suddenly started half puke gagging "Oh my God what the hell are you eating?!?!"

The answer?

Usually we get Klausens so maybe it is just the brand.

Very strange we hadn't had any such reactions to that point.

2. Aftershave and peanut butter
an older woman told us that she couldn't stand either of those in both of her pregnancies. She told us this at a wedding two weeks ago.

17. I couldn't stand the smell of peanut butter, either.
Anything cooking in a microwave set me off, too. Didn't matter what it was.

3. Pregnancy nose is how I knew I was pregnant w/ my second child.
I kept smelling fish at Easter dinner. Turned out the smell was from the dye in my grandmother's scarf. Enjoy the hormonal rollercoaster!:hi:

5. Believe it or not, coffee did it for me.

I choked each cup down, though, even though it was gagging me. I cannot do without my coffee. The worst of it was over in a couple of months, thankfully.

My ex-SO also wore this god-awful cologne, some kind of Calvin Klein Eau de Cow Piss, that would actually cause me to leave the room. It took several bouts of sickness before he got it through his big fat head that I could not stand that cologne!!! :grr:

She hasn't had any since then and she loved her some Starbucks Frappa-rappa-chinos!!!

She gets to have one before our nest ultrasound appointment (3/16).

25. ultrasound is so cool
great to see the little one. And it is so much more sophisticated than when I had my son.

when I had morning sickness, all I could eat was eggs and potatoes, for some reason. And peppermint gum stopped that gagging feeling.

8. I threw stuff for chili in the crock pot one morning around 7 am
then I took a nap a bit later. When I woke up, the entire place smelled of homemade chili, which made me gag and run out of the house. I took a very long walk.

LOL, you never know what is going to set that off.

18. Ice cream and Taco Bell, for me
I NEVER eat Taco Bell. But, with both my pregnancies, it's all I ever wanted to eat, and it never made me sick. That, and ice cream were the only things I could count on to never make me sick.

I brushed my teeth anyway.

Also, I couldn't stand the smell of Mexican or Middle Eastern food, which I normally love.
