Who will play Karl Rove in the movie?
Casting Gannon will be easy. if younger, it would go to James Tolkan, Principal Strickland form "Back to the Future" , but nowadays it's a natural for who else? Vin Diesel--.

But Rove will be tougher to cast. If he were younger the role would undoubtedly go to Charles Nelson Reilly --

What do you think gang?

11. On the other hand . . .
Pryce could be cast as John Negroponte . . .

4. Chalabi or Pillsbury Dough Boy
Chalabi because he looks soft & squishy (like Rove) and he seems to be popping up everywhere anyway. Otherwise, it goes to the original "soft and squishy" Pillsbury Dough Boy.

6. There are few great actors unattractive enough to be Rove

but I think William Hurt is talented enough and plays dark characters very well.

15. Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Damn, he was my first choice, too!

His 'Happiness' character is probably closer to the real Rove.

26. You've ALL got it wrong, here's the perfect choice:

Brian Cox

He's played some truly repellent parts during his film career, and done them well. You might remember these:

Hannibal Lecter (in the movie "Manhunter", 1986)
Killearn (John Hurt's "factor" in "Rob Roy")
Evil CIA-type administrator in "Bourne" movies
Capt. Wm. Stryker in "X2" (as a black ops type)
Agamemnon in "Troy"

and here's the kicker...

Hermann Goering in the TV movie "Nuremburg"

Cox is the best actor that I've ever seen at playing slimy, Machiavellian, manipulative characters. He'd be absolutely perfect for Rove. Perfect, I tell you.
