1. What an odd, odd halftime show.............
Edited on Sun Feb-20-05 10:09 PM by OneMoreDemocrat
What the fuck is with the dancing midget?

.....not to mention that the choice of country music seems slightly out of place.

3. It was wacked out from the beginning.
I know the NBA is hurting, but I didn't know they were desperate.

5. I lived in Colorado when I was very young, back in the 60s.
Even then, Denver was pretty damn sophisticated.

May God have mercy on you all if the tourism industry there has decided you must go Western.

That was just freaking BIZARRE.

7. My reaction entirely.
I've never been chemically-enhanced in my life, but for about 4 minutes, I think it would have been helpful?!

6. I'm sure the 90 % percent African-Americans playing in the game
appreciate some cracker in what appears to be a Confederate battle outfit leading the halftime show.

9. So you saw that too?
I mean, I'm flipping around the channels, and I find this show where there is some cowboy in a pink shirt screeching into a microphone, a guy jumping around in a confederate uniform, a midget on crutches, and a guy in a cowboy hat rapping surrounded by vapid models.

It was the half-time show from Hell, scripted by David Lynch.

I mean, who okayed the confederate uniform?

12. it's all part of the "REDneck-ization" of America
at least they didn't show nipple right? I wonder if anyone will say how absurd that guy's costume was at this event?

8. That would be Big and Rich
If Country music could get anywhere near Rap music, Big and Rich would be it. They are a little different and have ruffled some feathers in traditional country music.

11. not many of us must be watching the game
because Charles Barkley's blast of the half-time show would be topic A if this were a big ratings event... I loved him talking about America needing to get over Janet Jackson's breast and talking about how boring the Super Bowl and this halftime show was... that the guy who put it together should be fired... This isn't NASCAR (LOL). Classic Sir Charles not playing the corporate line. I can't imagine Stern is happy about Barkley's remarks :)

13. Again, he kicked ass. It's a good thing he gets ratings or they'd run
from him.

14. UM its BIG and RICH and they are the anti-toby keith
till you hear their story and album, don't knock them.

they were both "traditional" country and got told basically they didn't fit the form you know red neck trash toby keith style

they made an album, they sell out everywhere they go and they are a lot of main stream programs

basically they have told the "traditionalist" to fuck off.
