I don't know if this has been tried on DU before, but if not, I think it's worth a shot:

Yours truly, derby378, is dropping 18 American political figures, from Congressmen to columnists to crackpots, in the middle of the Republic of Palau (Cue voice from F9/11) and organizing them into two tribes, Rednek and Bludog, to compete against each other in various tasks of my choosing. One by one, these contestants will be eliminated at Tribal Caucuses. Not even I know how this is going to end, but one thing's for sure - the competition on the Republic of Palau is going to be fierce, because only one will be left standing at the end.

I'm replacing Arlen Specter with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Two reasons: (1) Specter's fighting Hodgkin's disease, and I wish him the best. (2) Separate Mary Matalin from the one she affectionately calls "Serpenthead?" No way.
