1. Have you travelled overseas in the past two years?
Oh, nuts, I was supposed to ask that beforehand.

Good for you...you saved a life today.

3. I do it because I certainly hope
the blood is there for me or my friends and family members if we need it. Pay it forward. :-)

2. Do you know you can drink less and still get hammered?
and you wonder why colleges all have so many blood drives :-)

Seriously, same amount of booze, diluted in a quart less blood = oblivion. Do be careful, though.

14. Mine is blue
I can't speak for prolesunited, though.

Seriously: Human blood is blue unless it comes in contact with oxygen.

10. I gave blood yesterday!
I almost fainted because they got the blood out of me so fast!
A pint in 5 minutes. Oh well, it was worth it.

When you give blood, they tell you what your blood type is. The 1st time I gave blood, it was mainly because I wanted to know what my blood type is. It's A+ ,the second-most-common type, if anyone cares.

19. Thanks proles and all other blood donors!
I can't give any more because I've had melanoma. :(

And I'm O-negative, which is only 6% of the population. We can give to anyone but can only receive blood from each other. So please, will some O-negative person go out and start giving about twice a year to take my place? We need to look out for each other, us O-negs... the life you save may be... MINE!
