What's are some good ways to retort a patronizing boss?
If you just don't care anymore?

1. Do you mean you want him in a beaker?
I think there are laws against cooking up the boss on a Bunsen burner.

2. Act as if
you simply cannot believe that you would ever encounter someone, especially as a place of business, with such shockingly bad manners. One good cold, "I beg your pardon?" can undo years of assholehood.

Ask him who he blew to get his job, because it's obvious he didn't get it on ability.

12. When my boss rhetorically stated to me, "What's the matter. You got your
head up your ass?!" I bided my time and waited. And my time came 10 minutes later.

Boss yelled from his office, "Get in here!" I didn't move. He repeated his command. I stayed at my desk. He actually got out of his chair and said my name again at the door. Nothing from me. He walked over to my desk, and nudged me.

I looked as if it were the first time I heard him. I said, "I'm sorry, were you calling me?" He responded, "What's the matter? Didn't you hear me?"

I smiled sweetly and responded, "I'm sorry. I guess I just didn't hear you BECAUSE MY HEAD WAS SO FAR UP MY ASS!"

Things were different after that day, and in my favor.
