12. My wife almost married a gay guy
She was engaged to him for a couple of years, and dated him for a couple before that. He came out to her three months before the wedding.

Interestingly enough, the guy she dated after him came out after they broke up, too.

So far, we've been together for ten years and one week (as of today), and I'm still hetero.

But if she turns me, she gets the toaster oven. :dunce:

But we have to take the good with the bad. It's nice to acknowledge Michaelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde, Willa Cather, Gertrude Stein.

But we also have to acknowledge the likes of Roy Cohn as well. And people like Ari Fleischer. And Ken Mehlman.

13. Voted "no"
I never got that vibe. Then again, I had been best friends with one of my best friends for four years and never seriously considered that he was gay until a week before he finally came out. After he told me, it seemed so obvious; so perhaps I can be a little dense about such matters.

I'm surprised that so many people are judgmental about someone who they see only on TV.

I used to have clients in the hairdressing industry, so I knew many were gay or lesbian. However, I could never guess which was which. There were fabulous men and women whom you would swear were heterosexual -- body builders and lipstick lesbians who were gorgeous for their own gender without a trace of accent or demeanor who revealed they were homosexuals. And vice-versa.

My husband and I visited Provincetown, Massachusetts for one of their July 4th celebrations. The town was filled with happy homosexual, transexual, and transgendered people, but darned if we could always make the connection. Two beautiful women, all dolled up with heels? Two women who looked like men? It was "drag city" and it was fun!

Step aside for the truth. Isn't it the freepers who make these kind of superficial value judgments, not us?????? Ari and his wife or significant other should be left alone.

By the way, what is he doing now?

sorry if that's not the correct term. Ari, Snotty, Norquist, Mellman, Luntz, Rove. And that Truman Capote getup in late December was pretty bad.

26. I definitely got that vibe from him when he was doing his briefings, BUT
when I'd see him on a regular talk show, I almost got the complete opposite vibe.

I think it may have something to do with all the sycophantic lying that he was doing when he was doing the briefings. I think his entire character when he was doing that was a front and a sham.

His "actual" persona didn't seem to have that element to it all. He actually seemed genuine.

Just my 2 cents...
