remembering the war in iraq...
from the beginning of the war it seemed like the whole thing was televised... i remember watching the blurry digital (satellite) cameras broadcasting the invasion to our CNN and CNBC channels at home...

over the last few years i have been to a few "GORE" sites that feature really disturbing videos and pictures of past wars. executions, war itself, dead civilians, etc...

the thing is, is it just me or are there ALOT of REALLY BAD videos and pictures coming from this war? I've seen about 6 or 7 behading videos that are extremely upsetting. I've only seen this stuff to be aware of what really happens in this war....

do you guys think that there will be more gore footage of this war than any other in history? it seems like every time the insurgency does something and wants to claim responsibility they post a video on the internet...

i think we will remember this war forever. especially our grandchildren who can watch these videos years from now and realize the horror that took place (and probably will still be taking place) in the ghost-striken deserts of iraq... thanks to the u.s.a.

thanks for reading.

There are certainly atrocities be performed during this war, that goes without saying. But the easy access to video cameras and digital cameras, as well as the ability to quickly and cheaply distribute images and data, makes the availability of these images much higher... and therefor you see more of them. It is a sign of the times more than a sign of this war.

Granted, the fact that this war is a lie seems to make it a bit more tragic, at least in my opinion.
