Just saw "Postcards from Buster" in Vermont
The show that got Margaret Spellings, Secretary of Edumacation's panties all twisted in a knot because the kids had lesbian parents.

What a yawner! I think in the 27 minute slot of the show saw maybe a total of 1-2 minutes of any parents, and I think that was even generous. The show was predominantly about the kids showing what they did in Vermont.

Spellings needs to get a life, this was not worth a battle. Guess I'll take Calimary's advice and write Spellings a letter....

1. To listen to Spellings whine about it,
you'd think the show featured 30 seconds of Buster saying, "welcome to Vermont," and then the parents having hot lesbian sex for the rest of the episode. (But to be fair, I'm sure that Spellings' gaydar is much more fine-tuned and advanced than mine!)

2. I haven't seen that episode.
"Postcards from Buster" is a great program for older kids. I've seen it a few times. My son is a little too young for the program (he's 2).

3. Are you a lesbian yet?
You know, of course, that the entire secret purpose of having a cartoon bunny visit a Vermont maple farm is to turn the entire female population of the United States into a bunch of degenerate rug-munchers.

4. Not yet
But my spouse might not take too well to me taking a partner...

5. My god, do you know what this means?
Toastmaster is in on this. With all the Toasters the lesbians are buying to give to their new recruits, Toastmaster will become bigger than Microsoft!

6. I also saw it, on WGBH in Boston (who does the show)
I agree with you. It was so boring, I couldn't even watch the whole thing. I think that if I didn't know the "controversy" about the show, I wouldn't have even noticed the lesbian parents!
