She was really old (like late 70s, old for a working teacher) when I was in her class in 1977. She used to even do a dance with it. Mrs. Miller was the best.
She hated the textbook that the school purchased. She said it had grammatical mistakes. She would make us write out our conjugations of verbs, the way you would if you were studying a foreign language. Then she would give an example: "Mrs. Miller threw the book", and would throw the book. "Mrs. Miller threw the book at Phil". She always missed him on purpose, though.
