Poll question: Is Astor Piazzolla the SHIT or what?
I'm listening to a best of collection, and I'm only on the 3rd song, Conceirto Para Quintetto, and dayyam, I love this music! Sublime! I'm hooked for life.

1. Are you familiar with
the tango sexteto called "Tangoheart"? We saw them locally last year. Their founder is a huge Piazzolla fan, and their musicianship is tremendous.

2. Not familiar with them, but I'll check them out
If they're even half as good, they're worth a listen.

4. Yoyo is a Tango guy? I had no idea.
I had the impression he was classical.

And yes, it is a compliment of the highest order.

5. Oh, yes
Astor Piazzolla and Yo Yo Ma are definitely the shit, as the kids would say. I went to high school with Mark O'Connor, one of the leading fiddle players on the planet. He played with Yo Yo Ma on "Appalachian Waltz," and yeah, he's the real deal, too.

Hardhead, check out www.tangoheart.com. I'm getting a copy of their CD. They will amaze you.

He was here recently. I missed the free show, but heard one of his CD's afterward and was blown away. He, too, is the shit.

We get a lot of cool free music here where I live.
