Just tell me what's with these hairstyles? Hardly a one of them looks like she brushed her hair this morning. Is this the new thing, this "roll in the hay" look? Must be real easy to be a hairdresser nowadays!

I have two female students in my writing classes who worked for
Victoria's Secret over the summer. They are always writing things like "...a passionate belief" or using words like "breathtaking." One even used the word "succumb" the other day (misused it, but nice try). Their papers (on the dullest of subjects) read like bodice rippers.
