I mean how dare that Dean speak out against the illegal war in Iraq. Doesn't he know we are supposed to be electable? Who cares about principles or what is right?

How dare he sign the civil unions bill. Talk about not appealing in the south... doesn't he know we should sacrifice the rights of unpopular minorities to increase our chances of electoral success?

I think what the party needs right now is someone to build up a grassroots coalition from the very top on down. Until now, it's been ordinary citizens doing it from the bottom up. I think Howard Dean is that man to do that.

You have more than enough posts and a star. And, no, you are not a bad person for supporting Howard Dean. He was not my candidate, Dennis Kucinich was, and I certainly voted for Kerry. But I sincerely support Dean for DNC chair. I'm hoping that his incomparable skills can turn this party around!:shrug:

Things are far different in the real world than they are here. The day of the election, I was headed to my car, in the parking lot of PetsMart, wearing two Kerry pins on my jacket. Some strange old guy, who I had never seen before, apparently took exception to my support of Kerry, and tried to pick a fight with me right in broad daylight! Apparently, attacking anyone who doesn't support Bush* is perfectly acceptable in this country. He shouted that he was a "Bush* man" and started reciting all the tired, empty phrases that the Bush* campaign was using. I could have easily taken him down, but what would have been the point? The thing is, I had just been discussing these same ridiculous phrases with my vet, also a Kerry supporter, and laughing about them, so I just burst out laughing when this guy tried using them to make his point. But you're right, they are far too many of these blind Bush*-lovers out there, and they also scare me to death!
