Unfortunately I grew up on a farm, so "work" at age 16 involved wading around in pigshit past your ankles and shovelling it into a manure spreader all day long. This was followed by lugging around 50-lb bales of hay and straw to the livestock and repairing tractors and other farm machinery that broke down.
