18. He was just playing with a My Little Pony, earlier.
Luckily my husband doesn't freak out at stuff like that. Alex did want me to cut the mane off, though. It's long, barbi like hair. "Has to come off, mom". Sigh...

12. He watched his cousin's copy when they were visiting
and was enthralled, so they got him one for Christmas. He loves it.

16. Thanks! I think so, too.
Both of them seemed to get the best features from me, and the best features from my husband, and blended into a perfect mix. They both look so much like my husband.

20. They go by fast, don't they?
I can't believe Alex will be starting preschool this fall. I try to cherish each day and know they will be gone before I know it.

28. Remember this...
it just gets better, really. As they grow into themselves it gets to be so much fun to talk to them and they will keep you current in the ways and music of the youngsters. I dreaded the "terrible twos" but found them delightful. I dreaded the "terrible teens" but they were even better. Now my boys are gone but we have IM and e mail and it is so fun to watch them develop into adults. Seriously, it just gets better. Hang on to all you can but maybe that will help when you notice they are all of a sudden grown ups. (this was great advice from their pediatrician, he was wise beyond medicine)
