Yes, this is a serious proposal, and not at all meant to be an extension of the earlier flame wars, so don't bother. Anybody willing to join me in creating a group for us fans of hip-hop, sign up here.

The DU Fans of Hip-Hop Group is open to discussion of the hip-hop genre, including but not limited to specific groups, artists, albums, or songs. Those who are unfamiliar with hip-hop are welcome to ask any question, no matter how basic, and to use the group as a resource for learning about the genre. We would advise, however, that if you have nothing positive to say about hip-hop as a genre, that you not take part in our discussion.
