4. Saved Greece, and, by extension, Western civilisation...
the Alamo, on the other hand, was a bunch of brutal, land-stealing scum (who were fighting for independence because Mexico outlawed slavery in 1824) getting what they probably deserved.

slowed down santa anna and gave the texicans time to entrench.

7th grade texas history tells me so.

found out later that the indian name for sam houston was "big drunk".
