What's with the new Zogby poll?
I saw a post a day or two ago about it, but I hadn't received the email from Zogby yet. Okay, now I have. First question goes into typical political questions then, Valentine's Day, what kind of chocolate do you like, to, when did you first have sex. Also, do you believe that a UFO was covered up in Roswell.

Anyone know the purpose of the questions?

2. my thought
At one point during the survey I was wondering if they were trying to 'prove' that liberals are conspiracy nuts. :wtf:

I don't answer marketing-type questions, or personal questions, so they only know that I'm a male, Democrat, Catholic, and a Kerry voter who knows we landed on the moon and who buys 10+ books a year. (OK I answered the book marketing questions.)

4. throwing in random questions like the chocolate can help refresh the
mind of the person taking the poll. If you do a poll with nothing but complicated political questions, the respondent can get bogged down. This can make them not consider questions as seriously as you would want them to, because they might just be answering them quickly just to get it over with.

5. I might buy that, but he had too many far out questions
Comparing other polls by him, this was a little over the top for me.

6. It annoyed me
If they're going to ask personal questions they can offer a write-in option for my REAL opinion instead of leaving it at Yes, No or Not Sure. Or they can call me for a focus group and pay me for that marketing research. So I refused most of the questions, first time I've done that on a Zogby poll.

Also, some of the questions were annoyingly vague. "How old were you when you had your first sexual experience?"

You mean...with another person?
