"Cops bust in, and the guy's sitting there - no shirt, drinking a beer, weed on the table, not surprised to have cops in the house, etc etc."

25. Agreed,
Wrestling would be my guilty pleasure, since the days I use to sit on my grand pa's lap as a kid in the late eighties I've watched it. I still watch it now a days, and I still watch some of my older tapes here and there, but your right, it's hard to get excited about it today.

56. Me too, even though it invariably becomes a source of torment when
the idiots on contestant row dont know how to friggin bet. It seems every time I watch that show there's some jackass who guesses, for instance, $700 when the next highest guess is $750 and the next lowest is $400, and the prize turns out to be $650... and on top of it they don't even realize they fuc@ed up. AARGH!

19. Wife-Swap
The original British edition is better than the American. New series started yesterday - yays.

I know it's formulaïc and expoiltative, and indeed just about every other bad thing that a television programme can be; but ever since the first episode (a racist anti-exercise white woman, with a racist exercise-mad black man) I've been hooked.

That and Sponge-Bob, but as I'm gay that's to be expected.

The really bad secret one is Fox News Channel, anything with Shep Smith presenting.

69. So, I was buying the latest "Spongebob" DVD....
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 08:43 PM by Zookeeper
and the clerk said to my son, "Would you like this in a separate bag, young man?" My son answered, "No, thank you, it's my mom's." The clerk gave me a look that suggested that I should be embarrassed. However, I am a vocal advocate of "Spongebob" stress relief and many visitors to my home have been introduced to what really is a somewhat subversive (not for the reason the crazy fundies suspect) little cartoon.

My actual guilty (low-life) pleasure is "Blind Date," mainly because of the snarky little captions. And I dearly hope the daters on the show are not typical of the current dating scene.

On edit: Santa brought me a boxed set of 1950's episodes of Dragnet, which has inspired a certain, weird fascination.
