ACK!
I was out shopping with my mom today and when we came home there was a message from this place that I had applied for a job at, wanting to set up an interview.

So I call back and she asks, if I'm able to come in either tomorrow or Thursday. I said I had to go with my mom tomorrow so would Thursday be OK? She said no problem. So I'm going in for an interview on Thursday at 2:00.

Now the reason why I'm stupid! I could have gone in tomorrow, I don't have to go with my mom tomorrow, but I just had it in my mind that I would go with her.

Is that bad? Should I call back and say if you really want me to come in tomorrow I can, or should I just let it go.....
I mean I'll either get or I wont right? I know when I do the interview I'll more then likely get the job. I'm very friendly and I'm a hard worker and a fast learner, and I've done retail type jobs before. I have killer references...

Damn it... why didn't I just I can come in tomorrow! Stupid, stupid! ;(

4. Thank you. I had just done it so I was like "oh shit" I'm calmer now.
Plus my moms friend (who has a business) didn't even bat an eye. So its all good.

2. They should like that you are sticking to a previous commitment
at least, I would think they would. I think they were offering you a choice, not giving you a secret test.

On the other hand, I don't know what the job is for or where you are going with your mother, so I am not sure my answer is the right one.

When you go in, you can thank them for being flexible and allowing them to honor a pre-made commitment.

6. Thats what I'm thinking.
Its for a hair appointment, which is silly yes, but you see up until a little bit ago I had the same hair appointment, but then I canceled it because I decided I want to grow out my hair.
And its kinda a drive from here, its a friend of my moms we go to so we'll be gone pretty much all day. So you see I still had that thought in my mind when I said tomorrow wouldn't be good for me. The lady didn't seem the mind at all. So I think its all good.

7. Actually, I think it's good to keep appointments for services
because all service providers (including doctors and dentists) depend on appointments being kept or they lose money.

BTW, you are probably in a hurry and you probably know this, but it should be "that's" and "it's" when you mean "that is" and "it is."

3. Was this a job that was advertised or did you go in and
randomly fill out an application. If it was advertised - keep the Thursday appointment - it sometimes helps to be remembered if you are one of the last people.

However, if you just randomly filled out an application, you could call them and say that you became available for tomorrow and ask if they would like to reschedule.

5. I agree with this one
And suggest that you present yourself as available. It's a good sign that you're concerned, but walk in there prepared and confident and your interviewer will put that off. Interviewers are aware of the personal and business commitments of their interviewees.
