Why didn't ANYBODY in Hollywood think of this?
The year 2000 has come and gone. Why not publish a Sports Almanac, having EXACTLY the content the one in the movie* says it has?

* The movie is "Back to the Future II", in case you're too young or lived in a cave during the 80's.

2. Yes, but the book was advertised as an old thing.
It was on sale at an antiques shop.

3. You're right, it was a 1950-2000 almanac
Only 10 more years to go until hoverboards and flying cars!

5. They DID publish it.
You can buy it as a novelty at Universal Studios. Or, at least, you could have in 2000.

6. My question: How could 50 years of sports results (*all* games, remember)
...be published in a book 1/4" thick?

7. The print was very small.
And I do believe it was just final scores.

10. Yes, they sold it as a novelty gift in 2000.
I didn't go through the whole book and compare scores, but they did print one up, with real data in it. I know they also printed a "blank" one that was just the jacket sleeve, too. Look for it on eBay, I guess.

9. But still: that's over 100,000 major league baseball games alone...
...includes horse racing at all tracks, every professional and at least some college sports, etc.

(PS I'm really not taking this too seriously - it was after all just a plot device - it may as well have been a 3x5 card)

11. I don't think it was that detailed.
Probably just major horseraces, though it did have college football. I looked for that.

12. Couls an entire season fit in one page?
Like this:

10-10-54 Team A 17, Team B 21
10-10-54 Team X 28, Team X 13
10-17-54 Team M 20, Team N 21
