Remember kids - insult in public, apologize in private.
That's the way to get ahead in today's brave new world. Better still just pretend you apologized. Even better still, pretend you never said such a thing in the first place, and it's a terrible slur on your character that people could think you'd ever say such a thing, 'cos you couldn't.

All you need to succeed in this world, kids.

1. Yeah, I've seen it.
Can't believe that some intelligent people are working that way these days. But I guess intelligence has nothing to do with integrity. I've seen it particulary in a jesus freak judge where I work. Doesn't really endear me to modern "christianity", or it's adherents.

2. You want to know the key to their reasoning? Listen up closely:
It is better to beg forgiveness, than to ask for permission.

I don't see how that's true, but they believe it.

3. I noticed that. Pretty shitty. Isn't that the Bush policy, too?
Screw up in public, then discreetly send powell to apologize/make corrections?

4. Yep - it's the way of life for a vast group of people.
Mostly on the right.

5. "I was just kidding around"
That's a big favorite of mine. Someone slams you, then says, "Oh. I was only joking."

Up with people! :eyes:
