9. I don't want Skittles to feel bad, but I think
she may need to go on a diet.

BTW, My cat Kato has a dandruff problem, so we all have our troubles.

11. He's a male
Named him after the little boy in the Los Lobos song "Kiko and the Lavendar Moon". :D

Ok, I think if you polled DU, they would give you a 100% vote on the kittens!

love that name.

are you going to get that automatic litter box or just regular?

and soft food or dry (or both)?

((the usual new parent questions))

16. I better clarify
This pic is 3 years old, and Kiko is 7.5! I adopted him when he was 6 weeks old back in July 1997 from a little girl who had a box of kittens in front of a Fred Meyer store in Covington, WA. :-)

I have a covered box, with a hanging door... he stays indoors only.

28. get them both. kittens have a lot of energy and they will keep each other
entertained plus you will laugh yourself silly at their antics for about a year. They sleep a lot anyway.

But they will cuddle together and groom one another and teach each other how to play and hunt and stalk things.

I have three who are littermatas and they are quite bonded to one another.

32. cat food is not that expensive, and cleaning out a cat box is not that
difficult. Especially if it is in a convenient place for you to clean it and for the cat(s) to get to it. Keep it in your bathroom if you can, and use a flushable clumping cat litter.

declump the box before you got to bed at night.

but you will have twice as much fun with two littermates. I bet they are already best buds. My guys are about a 1 1/2 yr old now andthey pile up in this big pile on my waterbed and groom one another, nap together. When they were babies, they played together and literally wore each other out.

31. Absolutely get two littermates together! If they're alone all day
they'll keep each other company, and grow up happy, loving, and well-adjusted kitties. But protect your breakables; no sense in having needless heartbreaks.

And kittens are so much fun to watch, you'll watch them more than TV! :D

23. Pose-able cats are rare--much more common in dogs--at least the
dogs I know--they're like little kids--they love to pose for the camera.

24. I have an even better pic
But not scanned... better lighting and so forth... I can say one thing, and this isn't just parental pride, but this is one of the smartest cats I have ever known in my life, and I have been around cats all of my 37 years.

Look at his eyes in the pic. He KNOWS. lol

Andy's a Maine coon that showed up at our door one day about 8 or 9 years ago - in Arizona. We weren't going to have pets because of allergies, but Andy had other ideas.
