Picks 10 books
My husband's "drive the wife insane" question of the week.--If the world was ending and you could only save 10 books, what would they be? (We were watching The Day After Tomorrow, think Gutenberg Bible lol.) I have about 1600 books now, and that's after selling off half of them a few years ago because we were over the weight limit that the Army would move. :P I just can't pick 10 books. Is it possible for a bibliophile to pick 10 books!?!? I know I'd take my Shakespeare and my Greek dramatists. Other than that, it's all fair game and changes daily lol. Just curious what other people think would be worth saving.

Think I'll skip that one. It wouldn't be historically significant if the world was ending lol. We could just forget the idiot ever existed lol. :D

9. wish we could do that NOW
seriously, you question is too hard. Only ten books for the rest of your life? For anyone who loves to read, it would be impossible. You would have a hard time picking out ten books from any one catagory. Ten fiction, non-fiction, political, autobiographies, whatever. One of the great joys of reading is variety.

5. Great post.
Just keep all your books. Don't sell any more and don't give any away. I hope no one will blame you for wanting to hold onto them.

10. Nope
We aren't active duty anymore, and I swear I will never move again!! So I won't have to get rid of anymore. I got rid of a lot of my favorites on that move because I got about half of my grandfather's books when he died, and I just couldn't give them up. I'm replacing them bit by bit. We are overrun by books in my house lol. My husband is not a reader, but our kids are lol. I need a creative book storage post lol.

7. I can't even begin to choose
But I did think of an even more agonizing question...

If you had your choice between saving ten books or ten pieces of music (Cd's albums) what would you do?

8. Definitely the books
I'd hate to give up music, but if I had to chose, it has to be books!

...Slaughterhouse Five, Player Piano, Cats Cradle, Galapagos, Sirens of Titan....well that'd be enough to get us started over on the right track.
