Oh yeah, and Quesnel, BC.

So I say Vancouver. What a beautiful setting.

But I liked all of them - would like to get to Montreal some day.

12. Vancouver
Vancouver is a beautiful city and I really liked Vancouver Island. Never been to Montreal, but would like to go. I was toying with the idea of going to the Grand Prix there and but it got cancelled. (Last year I was also think of going to the Belgium Grand Prix and that one got cancelled... moral of the story is that if your city has an F1 race don't get me interested in going, although the USGP has survived me going 4 times).

28. Victoria for sentimental reasons
Even though I'm Minnesota born and raised, I've really only been to one major city in Canada-- Victoria.

I went there about seven years ago as part of my honeymoon. We started in Seattle, went to the San Juan Islands, and then on to Victoria. It is one of the prettiest cities on the whole continent, IMHO.

I lived in the UK for a while in the early '90s, and Victoria reminded me a lot of some of the medium-sized cities there. However, it also had its own distinctly Canadian flavour (notice the spelling, eh? ;)) and had the west coast vibe that you can only get on the coast. We plan to return there for our tenth anniversary, time and money permitting. Or maybe even retire there if we can afford it.

As Michael Moore said about Canada in "Downsize This!": "It's like the US, but without the stupidity!"

I voted for Toronto because it's the only Candian city I've ever been to. But Gads, it was a wonderful place. I was a Jr. in high school and spent the week with a host couple. My first impression was how damn *clean* the city was...no litter or trash, no graffiti, etc.

For the rest of my life I'll believe that Toronto during an early evening snow in November will be deducted from your stay in Heaven...

Ok, so I've only been to southwestern BC (Vancouver and parts of Vancouver Island). I thought Tofino rocked, and Vancouver is fantastic. Victoria left too much of a tourist trap taste in my mouth, but maybe it's because I was a trapped tourist :-)

That's where I live. It's not so bad, despite all the rednecks and freepers running around. They're easy to ignore, and the city's setting can't be beat.

Now if only Stephen Harper wasn't my MP. Don't know how anyone can be so bland and smug at the same time; when Stocky was CA leader, at least there was some entertainment value.

58. I can see Toronto Right now........
The lights across the Lake are beautiful. I love Toronto, truly cosmopolitan, great Asian food. GREAT theater, art. Haven't visited gay places, cuz I don't know where they are. ANY HELP TORONTANS?
Went to 2001 World Figure Skating Championships in Vancouver, and ABSOLUTELY LOVED THAT CITY. People just a nice as you can ever hope to meet, and that was just the ones a tourist would see. Astonishing food, as well. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Montreal is Fabulous, visited in March one year and had a blast, food, art, music. With Ma so no hanky-panky allowed :<(
Quebec City for skating, stayed at Chateau Frontenac, wearing my bathbobe that I bought from the Hotel as we speak.
I love Canada, and would move there in a second, if I could. 5 minutes from border, have always had a connection.
Conclusion: I loved Vancouver, but sentimental favorite (and I'm a SENTIMENTAL guy!!!!!!!!) Toronto.

I went up for the Grand Prix for many years. It's a fantastic city. So much life.

I've never been out west but it's a goal of mine. I've heard so many good things about BC and the prairie provinces.

I also love St John, NB. Heck, make that all of NB. Maybe 'cause it's close.
