I am typing AGAIN with my gloves on!
This is a cold winter in Denver. I love the cold but this is too much for me. My asthma is killing me. How is the winter by you? Typical or colder/warmer than ususal?

2. this winter is just weird
snow storm - car buried, can't get out
ice storm - tree branches falling down, power knocked out
60 degree weather and thunder storm - holes in room from frozen branches falling, now leaking like an open faucet
20 degrees - damn - why didn't i put plastic up on the windows????

this has been what it was like over the past 3 weeks.

3. Weird is right
Here in Missouri the temp was 72 on Wednesday afternoon. Then came the crazy thunder storms that night and four inches of snow yesterday. The temp right now is 16 (windchill 4).
It'd be nice just to have a straight forward Midwestern winter. At least you know what to expect then.

8. I've lived here all my life and have never seen anything like this
in January. I was actually expecting a tornado Wednesday night/Thursday morning with that type of cold front slamming in. Luckily, that wasn't the case but sheesh. Just bizarre.

7. I was afraid you'd ask that!
I live in a 100 year old Victorian conversion. When they built my bedroom they did a lousy job and the window will not close one inch! I live with it!

9. Seeing as how there is no heat and it is in the 20s
it is dang cold. Gas company broke a main this morning and they say it may be Monday before they get it back on. Of course it was in the 60s until yesterday. I have to say it is easier to be without gas than electric since we can watch TV and cook. I guess we are able to watch ourselves turn blue instead of just imagining it in the dark.
