I'd write this off as a "practice run" try again after donut season ends.
Wait, does donut season ever end? Damn!

1. South Beach triggered my migraines ...
Or ... that was the excuse I used to quit.

*flip flip flip flip* Where were 'donuts' in the two-week first phase? ;-)

Good luck - try to hang in there. First phase is only two weeks and it gets much easier after that.

I dropped 30+ pounds since I started last March (All of it within 60 days) and have leveled off at a reasonable weight since then. Even over the holidays, with pretty much carte blanche, I only put on about 4# which I am now trying to remove.

14. Thanks, DrZeeLit
You'll find it easily sustainable - VERY reasonable, no emphasis on portion size, easy to recover if you fall off the wagon.

Good luck!

4. Would you have put those donuts in the tank of your car?
No. You would not have put anything that is improper and dangerous to ruin your car's engine. The only engine you have in life is you and your life, and you must treat your engine with the same respect you treat your car's engine. You will last long and always look shinny and new.

Start again. Donuts in the trash.

If eating one donut is the worse thing you do all day, you're okay in my book

10. The South Beach Diet was developed by a heart doctor
who's had very good success with it.

Pres. Clinton's diet for the first 50 years of his life had more to do with his heart attack than the South Beach Diet, or so he says.

Every Krispy Kreme you eat represents an empowered right winger.

13. The first two weeks are really hard! But you can do it!
I'll never forget how happy I was to have that first glass of champagne with my SO after finishing those two weeks!

It felt good, and I was really proud of myself.

I dropped a lot of weight on South Beach, unfortunately.....I fell off the wagon and gained it all back during the end of semester rush and then the holidays.

I'm climbing back on, though!!!

I've cleaned up considerably in the last week or so, and I feel better already!
