Where the hills fall down and it only rains three or four months out of the year - but when it rains, it pours.

I've lived here for six years and I'm finally starting to get used to it but it made me really uncomfortable for the first few years to have NO rain at all between about April and December.

Massive floods and mudslides in the winter, drought and wildfires in the summer. Strange place but very pretty. And the people are nice...
