This is lovable…
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 04:50 PM by alexisfree
Owen, a one year-old baby Hippotamus, gets close to his adopted 'mother', a giant male Aldabran tortoise at Kenya's Haller Park on January 6, 2004. The 120-year old giant tortoise living in the Kenyan sanctuary has become inseparable from the baby hippo rescued by game wardens, sanctuary officials said on Thursday.

7. THAT is what Cornyn was talking about...TURTLE LOVE
"It does not affect your daily life very much if your neighbor marries a box turtle. But that does not mean it is right. . . . Now you must raise your children up in a world where that union of man and box turtle is on the same legal footing as man and wife."

-- Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), advocating a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in a speech Thursday to the Heritage Foundation, as cited by WaPo.

Damn..and here it is in all its GORY GLORY! :yecht:

9. Poor Owen was washed away in the tsunami.
I think that he lost his mom. I'm glad he found someone to love.

This is just about the cutest and saddest thing I've seen in a while.
