What's your local blues guy's name?
Chicken leg is the guy I used to see playing downtown now and then. Or maybe it was Blind Chicken Leg. I'm not sure...

3. Seriously?
I made the chicken leg thing up, obviously. At least I thought it was obvious.

I hardly ever do copycats... don't know what came over me. :hi:

4. Kim Simmonds
He hosted a Blues Fest on Easter Sundays in a small upstate N.Y. town...with the reunited Savoy Brown. This was the early eighties after he got involved with The House of Guitars. Other than Kim, it was "Smokin' Joe B", who at the time was just a kid...I wish I could spell his last name.

11. We have "The King", but he's more of a funk guy.
It's just him, his bass guitar and big-ass sunglasses. The King rules (Austin, anyway).

12. Too many to name. My faves play at the Subway in Jackson, MS>
If you have Black Starz, watch the documentary "The Last of the Mississippi Jukes." It's about the Subway and all of the big blues musicians who play there.

Bo Diddly's from near my hometown, too.

17. Used to be a guy, called himself "Blind Lemon Pledge"
The guy wasn't much of a musician but was a real scenster and knew everybody, so he'd get some of the best local musicians backing him for his gigs. The gigs were a lot of fun.
