Hey Hey European DUers!!!
I am coming your way!

After a short break, I'm on the road come Thursday to:

Amsterdam/Antwerp October 2-7

Berlin October 8-9

London/Oxford October 10-11

Paris October 12-13

Back in Amsterdam on the 14th, home on the 15th.

I have a perfect national record: There has been at least one DUer every place I've been. Can we keep the streak alive?

4. By the way, Will
Do plan on using the Eurostar Chunnel Train from London to Paris. It just got faster (they finally upgraded the tracks on the English side), and MUCH more convenient than flying--2.5 hours from Waterloo Station to Gare du Nord, city center to city center.

And I think we can keep the streak alive .

There is a remote chance that I'll be in the USA at the time; I'll know more later today.

22. I guess some DUer is going to have to take you to a footy match then.
Failing that you can always pitch some projectiles at a wank magician in a box by Tower Bridge. :eyes:

17. If you want Will to show up, make it happen!
You'll be surprised at the people you meet and the things you learn when you endeavor to bring Will to your town.

I can give you chapter and verse on the process. :-)

18. please educate me
I do not know much about activism, and am sort of a lone gun. Most of my friends are not as devoted as me, but I do have some Veterans who are clients of the law firm I work at who are vehemently anti-Chickenhawk who might be interested.

20. Well...it works like this...
1. Find someone or some group willing to pony up air fare and hotel to bring Will in. (Or just do it yourself, if you can.) Ask the local peace activists, or other activist groups if they're willing to help. I met some GREAT people and increased my network this way. If you have a good public or community radio station, contact them. They might want to have Will on the air.

2. Find a suitable location to have this event. Churches are good; universities work. Bookstores are good, if they are large enough.

3. The group who sponsors Will will probably want to recoup some of their expenses. So, contact Will's publisher and get books at a serious discount and sell 'em to raise funds. My own personal observation in Houston: KPFT radio ordered 60 books and sold 'em all in one night.

If you like, I'll send you a contact person that works with Will and knows far more about his schedule than he does. She will become your best friend.
