Does anyone like to eat Campbell's Split Pea & Ham Soup
cold out of the can? Or, when you are heating it up, do you like to leave clumps or whisk it to death so that there aren't any clumps ?
And, do you use milk instead of water when you're making it? Also, what crackers go better with it, saltines or wheat thins?

I dunno, I'm starving and I just thought of Split Pea & Ham soup.

1. Your killing me cold split pea.......no I like Progresso.....
split pea and thrown in some Boars Head sliced ham and oyster crackers. Condensed soup is loaded with sodium.

10. Absolutely................
when it comes to many soups, Progresso beats Campbells hands down. Especially Split Pea with Ham though.
I would NEVER eat it unheated though. Yuck!

5. "boiled rice"? Back in the day...
..."boiling" stuff was for fancy city types. Room temperature (otherwise known as "atmosphere") worked just fine.

7. Not really, but Campbell's minestrone
Beats the hell out of minestrone in mediocre "Italian" restaurants :D

8. There's a new one out-Pea Soup
it's a bit sweeter than the split pea, and doesn't include ham. I like to eat it right out of the can. I hadn't thought of putting milk in it, I might try that. Since I can't eat either of the crackers, I put thin strips of cheese in the soup when I heat it.

9. My family's cat we had when I was growing up used to love split pea soup!

We'd have the kind you'd make from the packet, though...probably Lipton or something. But yeah, we'd put some in a saucer for her and she'd lap it up.

12. I often make my own. Soup is better if you do your own
So I had lots of kids and did every thing from the old way. Cost less and I also made their clothing. The thing was it was more costly to hire some one to care for kids and go out to work in my day. I also was a big kid myself so they were lots of fun to be with.I just did not find it dull.
