weekend. I got the first season DVD set from my husband, and am so addicted to the series. Anyone else watch this show? It's actually pretty good.

The actor who plays "Luke," Jamie Elman is hot, especially w/ his beard. Geez, I sound like a teeny bopper?!

1. It's an intersting series
Can't say I'm hooked, but I do find it interesting to have the viet nam war conflict on a tv drama, nice they're showing the protests. They're working hard to cover ever issue from abortion to equal rights. And the story about the closeted gay was pretty suprising (of course, it wasn't suprising he was a travel agent ; )

3. I'm still catching up on the series. I only began watching maybe
the beginning of this season.

The parallels of the Vietnam War and the war going on in Iraq are interesting.

Next week's episode is supposed to be pretty good.

5. I keep hoping ...
that some "sheeple" will watch the show, recognize the parallels and say, "Uh ... wait a minute ... "

4. It's a cute show. I think it's one of those that could be a classic.

It's very well written. I didn't realize Robby Benson (blast from the past) had a recurring role for a while.

9. I hope they keep it on TV and don't do what they did w/
"My So Called Life" and other good series...and take it off the air. If it hasn't won any Emmys, it should IMO.

for about a month) of the season. I take it Mrs. Steely caught it tonight; it was pretty good. Next week's episode is going to be good, too. Beth and JJ got engaged tonight.

14. Perhaps "premier" was a bad choice of words.
I confess to not watching the show - she loves it, and around 8:00 I stumbled on it and let her have the remote (true love) - then I left the room - it's not my bag.

Something else happened with my computer so I could right you back last nite - and I just gat the darn thing back on line.

13. I missed it tonite
but JJ made it home in the Christmas episode. I was on the phone for part of that episode, but while he was MIA, he stumbled into what looked like an enemy camp. I think it was during a cease fire period, cos next thing I knew, he was home.

I just got hooked on it during the second half of the last season. It is a good show.

18. Koneko, I also got hooked like you. I've been playing
"catch" up with the DVDs of the first season. I guess the second season will be out, what, next Christmas?

Did you see when JJ was held captive in that French dude's home? He was able to escape and then found another US soldier. They basically helped each other find a base camp. Unfortunately (and I'm trying to remember all the details...maybe someone else can fill-in-the-blanks), the other soldier was killed by the enemy (I think he was hiding in a tree or something); he almost made it to the camp, too.

17. Hedda, I'm sorry. I went to bed last night and just signed back
on. Yes, JJ is back home. What's the last episode you saw? Sunday is the first episode shown in about a month.

16. It's Historically Innacurate
Many episodes have the songs jumping around chronologically - 1966 to 1964 to 1962 and back to '66. And since Dick Clark moved "American Bandstand" to LA in the Summer of 1963 and went to once-a-week programs, it's just completely wrong to have the girls rushing there after school in 1966 to dance on a weekday "Bandstand".

20. Thank you for clearing that up!
I keep watching it and the songs seem some how out of order. I don't know enough about that era to know for sure. It just seems odd. And I thought the idea of the same kids being on the show year after year was a little odd to. But it makes for a good show...
