I think "Airport 75" is almost as funny as "Airplane!"

1. Is Airport 75 the one with Dean Martin as the pilot?

Considering his reputation as a lush, you'd think that would've been delicious casting for Airplane, my all time favorite comedy!

The best scene in Airport 75 is when Dino's getting sucked down the aisle towards the hole in the back of the airplane. The passengers are sitting in their seats reaching out to try and grab him as he goes by. Good thing those pax have their seat belts on!

2. You're absolutely right! In fact, "Airplene!" took one of the scenes...

the one where Sister Helen Reddy is playing a guitar and singing to poor little sick Linda Blair and parodied it in THEIR movie! :-)

"Airplane 1975" is a hoot...from poor cross eyed "stewardess" (NOT flight attendant) Karen Black having to pilot the damaged 747 to Gloria Swanson playing herself (and everyone talking about how beautiful she is...even though she looks like a well preserved corpse in it)

Yeah, it's soooo freaking hilarious. This is the funniest of the Airports I've seen but I've heard 79 is up there.
