4. Normal is a cycle on a washing machine
If you think it's OK, then it's probably OK. If you're worried, then you should ask yourself why. I think we all (should) define normal for ourselves.

6. alexisfree may have it right, but exactly what is normal????
I would find myself on here for 4 to 6 hrs. a day when I wasn't working. Then I realized that the work around the house was REALLY piling up and after 2 weeks of that, I had to restrict login time to 2 hours.

Talk about discipline. . . . . . oye vey!

pile up? Isn't that more important, really? I mean, especially in the DU Lounge!

21. sorry, house trashed and desk trashed I CAN'T function. It's all about
goals and limits and who can get the most ISN'T it ????
That is what the world has come to, corporate greed.

The more I sit and plink away at the keyboard the less my body does and the more old age sneaks in. Therefore limits must be set and geee, I am way over right now. . . . later. lol lol lol

7. When I have a day off
I spend most of the day on DU with breaks to eat and maybe visit with people. When I'm working I'll spend about 4-5 hours a day on DU. Sounds like a lot, but then I rarely watch tv and some people spend just as much time doing that. At least here I'm engaging my brain. My writing skills have gotten a lot better since I've started DUing.

18. So true!
The average TV time is something like 3-4 hours A DAY! That's every day. And it's so passive compaired to the computer.

10. Upon waking...of course your 'gittin ready' stuff is beside your computer
of course that is after your shower...then you might log off for work and then upon arriving at work you log back on..and peek occassionally so as not to draw attention to yourself...then when you get home you log back on and stay there till you go to bed? Are you a freak? Why are you asking??

19. Normal is whatever you make of it.
If it interferes with your offline life, you may want to cut back. If it doesn't - well, how you spend your free time is up to you.

24. It's like eating potato chips.
Once you read a thread, you can't stop. :)

Sometimes I spend too much time in here that I know that I can be doing something else more productive. I am aware of this, so some days I just don't go here, to resist the temptation of spending hours upon hours of reading and posting.
