Hated the idea of pet names even though she quickly got into the habit of using them. She didn't like the "trite" ones like honey, dear, and hon so I suggested "Schmoopy" which she didn't care for. My second suggestion was, "Cookie-Pants" which would always set her to giggling, and on the phone she would insist I call her that again if I called her that during our conversation.
