6. I've looked at it and it looks fantastic for a free program.

Has a lot of photoshop type functions, a few that it doesn't have and can handle large files pretty well.

If I hadn't become used to Photoshop, I'd probably go with Gimp (I do use it every now and then, it came with a download of Open Office, another GREAT open source suite.
