Poll question: Best Sam Waterston film?
and my first copycat thread. But Sam is my favorite actor, so why not?

12. The Killing Fields on DVD
for the 20th anniversary. Sam autographed the DVDs for those who donated to Refugees International in honor of his birthday this last November. Sam wrote a nice note to his fans telling them about it and personally signed each one. He's a real class act in many ways. Recently, he volunteered to do the narration for a new film called "Hammer and Cycle", a film about the Habitat Bicycle Challenge. It's just come out on DVD and the funds go towards building a Habitat in New Haven CT.

17. Shameless promotion
If you like Sam, check out my fansite, "...and here's to you, Mr. Waterston", which includes pages on his actor children James and Elisabeth, special features, and a cyber newspaper that tells you what Sam and his kids have been doing lately.

There's an interview with the producer at my Sam Waterston site.

Mark Sobel is a great filmmaker and a great guy to answer fan's questions.

to post all the films Sam has made. I love the scene where Sam is tied up by Walter Matthau!

15. One of the few Sam films I haven't seen
apparently not available. Sam's older son, James, played his first role in the series, playing, appropriately enough, Oppenheimer's son.

Sam was in that - he kinda played a narrator who actually interacts with the main character (Bridges). I liked that movie.
